Air Travel

Air travel is usually the quickest way to get to your destination. We offer both scheduled flights and low cost carriers, working with a wide range of airline partners. In order to provide you with outstanding service, our main carriers are Lufthansa, British Airways, Air Berlin, Germanwings and Flybe.

 

Scheduled Carriers

Departures on direct services from London airports with one of the above carriers are included in the holiday prices shown on the website.

Baggage allowance: Please note that British Airways allows 23kg, Lufthansa 20kg per passenger (subject to change).

 

Low Cost Carriers In order to give our clients a wider range of departure airports and in some cases the chance of price savings, we offer flight departures with the low cost carriers serving European destinations. For instance, Germanwings offer two departure points from the UK These carriers may differentiate themselves by the level of service they provide, i.e. no free food and drink and no pre-bookable seating.

Baggage allowance
Air Berlin, Germanwings, Flybe and easyjet allow 20kg per passenger. As hold luggage is payable and we include 1 bag per passenger each way in the cost of your holiday.

In addition, most of these carriers require full payment immediately and tickets will be non-refundable. Any permitted changes may incur an additional charge. Please enquire at time of booking for available services and reductions.

Due to our specially negotiated fares with major scheduled airlines such as Lufthansa and British Airways we can offer the best service at the best possible price. However, please note that airlines control the number of seats available on any given departure; when you enquire we may be able to offer additional seats on the same flight at a supplement. It is a similar situation with the low cost carriers, as fares rise as the number of seats booked increases. Please note, if there is an increase in fuel prices certain airlines may impose a further supplement. We will advise you of this at the time of booking.

 

Airline Documents

The majority of scheduled airlines have replaced conventional paper tickets with electronic tickets, e-tickets. To check in, simply go to the check-in desk as normal and show your passport as identifi cation along with the booking reference number that we will provide you with. This information is sufficient for the airline to issue a boarding pass for your flight. Because the airlines favour this method, there is no extra charge for e-tickets. However, a request for a paper ticket (if at all possible) will incur a charge set by the airline.

 

Airport Security

Due to the ever changing security situation at airports, we advise our passengers to check the security regulations before they travel. We recommend you check the website www.baa.com or your airline carrier. This could save you time at the airport just in case you are carrying a prohibited item in your luggage.
